Butterscotch looks a treat and is a guitar you can feel good about playing.
Butterscotch was hand crafted from aged Australian timbers that were recycled from antique iconic Queenslander homes.
His body was salvaged from a large dense hardwood beam of Australian gum, and it is from this that he gets his great sustain, stability and strength. His design was inspired by the traditional hollow body electric guitars, but with his solid body he captures both style’s tonal characteristics.
His maple neck and rosewood fingerboard are second’s timber from the off-cuts of other guitars, so by using these timbers in his production he has saved a lot of trees. He features high-end long lasting hardware, water based lacquers and a TUSQ nut (synthetic bone) to ensure an animal free, cruelty free, environmentally friendly product that sounds as good as it looks.
He is also fitted with Evo gold fret wire, a copper alloy that contains no nickel, as well as Japanese made GOTOH bridge and tuners. All the electronics are CTS. He has a single push pull knob and five way rotary switching.
All this means that he has beautiful resonance and tone, so what better way is there to show it off than by fitting him with hand wound PAF Humbucker style pickups, made to vintage specifications.
The utmost care and attention to detail has been maintained in his crafting to ensure enjoyable and long lasting playability.
